JORGE MAÑES;
 Born in 1984 in Madrid, Jorge started to develop his unusual curiosity very early, thanks to his parents Antonio and Isabel, both architects. Their passion about travelling gave him a wide view of different cultures and exotic places and was probably one of the reasons that led him to leave Spain, looking for new aims and challenges. In 2005, he graduated in Design Technical Engineering and completed a postgraduate course in Furniture Design. In 2006, he moved to Milan and coursed an Industrial Design Master in the Scuola Politecnica di Design. In 2008, he enrolled in the Royal College of Art in London.

Before that, in 2005 he graduated in Design Technical Engineering in the Antonio Nebrija University, and completed a postgraduate course in Furniture Design. In 2006 he moved to Milan, and coursed an Industrial Design Master in the Scuola Politecnica di Design SPD.
His Italian experience lasted for 2 years, showing his work in the Salone Del Mobile 2007, collaborating with other designer’s studios, and finally carrying out an intensive internship at Cappellini. At the same time, in the Madrid Design Fair, his provocative piece Dear Hunter started to catch people’s attention, but more important, setting up new goals and ambitions for him.
In 2008, he enrols in the Royal College of Art, London, where he carried several research projects that confirm his tireless eager to travel far beyond the usual scopes of design.
